I have been playing Guitar Hero alot. Alot.

Right from the beginning I have been looking at the same picture thinking "I want that as my desktop picture". I browsed through several Guitar Hero pages, including the original and various fan sites - I couldn't find that picture anywhere.

As the solution, I started the game and took a _photo_ of the TV screen and the loading screen where the picture was in the background and sent it to my computer via Bluetooth.

Spend a couple of hours vectorising it in Inkscape and colored it in Gimpshop (hey, I'm a student, I can afford a Apple Blackbook but not the professional programs ;)). The picture is simple and you probably will find some flaws in it but for me, it's pretty much everything I wanted it to be. So, I'm happy, hopefully some of you will be too

Wasn't absolutely sure where I should post this, Games, Music, People or Vectors but decided to post it to the "HDTV/Widescreen" category, after all, it is made to be a wide picture.

Oh, Guitar Hero II is coming in November. *drool*

Looks good =). Can't help noticing those sharp pixels. Looks like the lines could be a little smoother. Alos my res is 1680x1050 so it's a no no since the pixels gets even moure annoying when zoomed.

Still a good piece =)
Thanks for commenting :) Well, when you look at the picture, they might be sharp, especially if you use a larger resolution. My Macbook uses 1280x800, so the picture is actually a little smaller.

But, it might be a good idea to try to make those lines smoother. I'm just going to have to learn to do that first :D

Just a beginner, help wanted :)

haha yeah it gets like that aye, i cant wait for number 2. should be awesome, i like how they have done 2 player in 2, like bass n guitar, nice idea.
This is the sweetest wallpaper I've seen in a while but I can't get it to work. I dunno. I tried to just set it as my explorer background and that didn't work so I tried saving it and it saved as a 1x1 image. That picture is no 1x1 image... wtf. Still... it's great and I must say I've been looking for the same pic for a while.

Wierd.

You clicked the picture to full view and then clicked it with the second mouse button and chose "Save as"?

Should work.
